Why warmup before campaigns?
Sending a lot of email from a new or cold inbox can hurt deliverability: providers may treat it as spam. Warmup gradually builds sender reputation so your real campaigns are more likely to land in the inbox. Follow these practices for best results.
Start warmup early
- Add new Gmail or SMTP inboxes in Inbox Accounts, then go to Warmup and start warmup for each new inbox.
- Do not launch large campaigns from an inbox that is still in Warm up required or early Warming. Wait until status is Ready (or follow the recommended limits for warming inboxes).
Respect warmup limits
- While an inbox is Warming, EmaReach (or your plan) may suggest a maximum daily send. Stay at or below that so the warmup curve is not disrupted.
- Use Inbox Accounts and Warmup to see progress; only increase campaign volume when the inbox is ready.
Use multiple inboxes wisely
- Spreading volume across several warmed inboxes is better than overloading one. Add more inboxes and use sender rotation in campaigns (round-robin or random).
- For small lists, using fewer inboxes can be easier to manage and still safe if they are fully warmed.
Don’t pause and rush
- If you pause warmup, resume it when you are ready; don’t send at full volume as soon as you resume. Let warmup continue to Ready before scaling campaigns.
- Avoid sending big bursts from a single inbox; use daily limits and send time windows in campaigns to spread sends.
Monitor and adjust
- Check Sending Behavior (Tracking) and Analytics to see send volume per inbox. If one inbox is sending much more than others, balance by adding more inboxes or adjusting campaign sender selection.
- If you get Alerts about deliverability or reputation, slow down or pause campaigns and ensure warmup is complete for the affected inboxes.
