Why use SMTP inboxes?
SMTP inboxes let you send campaign emails from your own domain (e.g. sales@yourcompany.com) instead of Gmail. You add them after you have verified your domain in Domains. Each SMTP inbox is tied to a verified domain and uses the credentials from your email provider (e.g. SendGrid, your host, or another SMTP service).
Before you start
- Verify your domain in Domains (add DNS records and click Verify).
- Have your SMTP details ready: host, port, username, and password (or API key if your provider uses that). Your email provider’s docs or support can give you these.
Step 1: Open Inbox Accounts
- In EmaReach, click Inbox Accounts in the sidebar.
- Click Add Inbox or New inbox (or go to Inbox Accounts → New if you have a dedicated page).
Step 2: Choose SMTP and domain
- When adding an inbox, select SMTP or Domain inbox (not Gmail).
- Select the domain you verified. The list shows only domains that are verified.
- Enter the email address for this inbox (e.g. sales@yourcompany.com). It must be on the selected domain.
Step 3: Enter SMTP credentials
- Enter the SMTP host (e.g. smtp.sendgrid.net or mail.yourprovider.com).
- Enter the port (often 587 for TLS or 465 for SSL; your provider will specify).
- Enter username and password (or API key). These are usually provided by your email/SMTP provider.
- If there is a Test connection or Verify button, use it to confirm the credentials work.
- Save. The new SMTP inbox will appear in Inbox Accounts and may show a status such as Warming or Ready (if warmup applies to your plan).
Step 4: Use the SMTP inbox in campaigns
- Go to Campaigns → create or edit a campaign.
- Under sender, choose SMTP (or "Domain" / "Inbox").
- Select the domain (if asked) and then the SMTP inbox(es) you want to use for sending.
- Save the campaign. Emails will be sent from that SMTP address.

- Domain not in list — Verify the domain in Domains first and refresh the page.
- Connection failed — Double-check host, port, username, and password. Use TLS/SSL as your provider recommends.
- Warm up required — New SMTP inboxes may need to complete warmup before full sending; check the Warmup section and status in Inbox Accounts.
