How to Manually Block or Unblock Contacts

Why block or unblock contacts?

You may want to block a contact so they never receive campaigns from you (e.g. unsubscribes, invalid addresses, or people who asked to be removed). Unblocking lets you add them back to the pool so they can receive campaigns again. EmaReach has a Manual Block / Unblock area under Contacts for this.

Where to block or unblock

1. Go to Contacts in the sidebar.
2. Open Manual Block / Unblock (it may be under a submenu or tab under Contacts).
3. You will see options to block or unblock contacts, often by entering an email or selecting from a list.

Block a contact

1. In Contacts → Manual Block / Unblock, find the Block section or form.
2. Enter the email address of the contact you want to block (or select them from a list if the UI allows).
3. Confirm or click Block. The contact is added to the block list and will not receive future campaigns (and may be excluded from existing campaigns depending on how sends are processed).

Unblock a contact

1. In Contacts → Manual Block / Unblock, find the Unblock section or list of blocked contacts.
2. Find the contact (e.g. by email) in the blocked list.
3. Click Unblock or Remove from block list. The contact is no longer blocked and can receive campaigns again if they are in a contact list you use.

Viewing blocked contacts

• The Manual Block / Unblock page usually shows a list of currently blocked emails (or a way to search them). Use this to review who is blocked and to unblock if needed.
