What are email templates?
Email templates in EmaReach are reusable email designs you use in campaigns. Each template has a subject and a body (and optionally a name). You can use merge variables (e.g. {{first_name}}, {{company}}) so each recipient gets a personalized message. Create and manage templates under Templates in the sidebar.
Step 1: Open Templates
- Click Templates in the sidebar.
- Go to Template Management (or the main templates list).
- Click New template or Create template.
Step 2: Name and subject
- Give the template a name (e.g. "Cold outreach – intro") so you can find it later.
- Enter the subject line. You can use merge variables here too (e.g. "Hi {{first_name}}, quick question").
Step 3: Write the body
- In the body editor, write your email content. You can use plain text or HTML depending on what the editor supports.
- Use merge variables where you want personalization: {{first_name}}, {{last_name}}, {{company}}, {{email}}, etc. These are replaced with the contact’s data when the campaign runs.
- Include an unsubscribe line for compliance (e.g. "Unsubscribe: {{insert-unsubscribe-link-here}}" or the placeholder your plan uses). See the Compliance settings and template guide for the exact placeholder.
- Save the template.
Step 4: Use the template in a campaign
- Go to Campaigns → New campaign (or edit an existing one).
- In the email sequence step, add an email and select your new template from the template list.
- The campaign will use this template for that step; merge variables will be filled from the contact list you choose.
Tips
- Use Templates → Template Guide and Template Examples for suggested merge variables and best practices.
- Keep subject lines clear and avoid spammy words; check Settings → Compliance for spam words to avoid.
- Test with a small list or a test send if your plan supports it.
